I have always been doing a trial and error on chocolate chip cookies. My all time favorite was a recipe from my aunt but as I grew older i grew out with the taste. And so I started experimenting making cookies with bitter chocolate chips, strawberry chips and believe me that chocolate chip cookies are the easiest to make with the most simplest ingredients yet so versatile.
One day I met upon this choc chip cookies made by a friend of mine who is a chef at Ritz Carlton and it taste awesome. Of course I still need to do some adjustments but so far I compare his with the great Famous Amos.
It's TGIF today and I decided to make something for hubby. He is a fanatic of butterscotch and when I did marketing just now, I came across Butterscotch Morsels from Nestle Tollhouse and I thought why not?
It was a thank you token by me for him being a wonderful father to be lately.
So here it is the recipe for I called Butterscotch Chocolate Cookies. This one is a mixture of all recipes combined and carefully measured by me.
Ingredients:
(A)
80 grams caster sugar
110 grams brown sugar
1/4 tsp salt
160 grams unsalted butter
(B)
1 tsp honey
1 egg
1/2 tsp vanilla essence
( Lighty beaten )
(C)
250 grams plain flour
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp baking powder
( Sieve altogether )
(D)
100 grams Butterscotch Morsels
100 grams Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips
50 grams nuts of your choice ( I used walnuts )
Directions:
Preheat oven to 175 degrees.
Beat (A) until well combined.
Pour in (B) till well mixed.
Fold in (C) till well combined.
And finally.
Fold in (D) till evenly mixed.
Here is how the mixture looks like well combined.
Spoon the mixture to a parchment papered tray. Ensure that you leave enough gaps so that the cookies would not stick to each other. With Baking soda and baking powder, this cookie will expand. The irregular the cookies are the better.
Bake for 15 minutes at 175 degrees till golden brown.
Yes, it is that easy!
Dip it in cold milk, it taste awesome!
I made about 4 trays of 36 cookies per tray. Store the remainder in a airtight container and it would last for upto 2 weeks. But I would guess that all the cookies would be gone by then!
yes i do..
